Internship Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic collaborative intern to come help the business development team to encourage organizations to buy sustainably and fairly.

Using your commercial skills to increase the commerce of farmers in Africa, Asia and Latin America!? Sounds like a win-win!

What am I going to do then!? 

Your range of duties is fairly diverse. But you can expect the following: 

  • Making an Impact; 
  • Understanding and following up on growth opportunities (calling/pinging/whapping/DM'ing for an appointment; 
  • Help organize the B2B Fairtrade coffee event; 
  • Mapping and proactively responding to current and upcoming government tenders in the Netherlands;
  • Contribute letters, presentations, blogs, articles, webinars;
  • Provide input on further development of communications materials (think flyers, handouts, website, etc.). 
  • What do you like yourself!? There's room for that too! 

 Who are we looking for? 

  • HBO/WO education in the direction of, for example, public administration/ business administration/ economics/ political science or 'sustainability/sustainable business/sustainable development' 
  • A proactive, results-oriented, independent personality. This means that you dare to pick up the phone to convince people of the added value of Fairtrade; 
  • Strong analytical ability; you are good at assessing where opportunities lie and know how to keep track of them; 
  • Flexible and proactive working attitude. A lot is possible within the internship and it will only be more fun if you come up with your own ideas!
