Do you have a feel for current affairs and sustainable development? Do you find it interesting to work on substantive issues in the field of communication and society? And do you have a fluent pen? Then we are looking for you!

Within the Sustainability Expertise Centre, ASN Bank's Communication team deals with current developments every day. These are about the bank, but also about sustainability in the broadest sense of the word. The team contributes in various ways and through various channels. From internal communications to social media, from speeches to opinion pieces.

ASN Bank offers an internship where you can learn all about communication and sustainable banking. The start and end dates, as well as the number of hours per week (minimum 30, maximum 36) are negotiable. We are looking for a colleague who can do an internship for at least 3 months (and preferably longer e.g. 5 or 6 months). On a daily basis, you will help guard ASN Bank's reputation and share its activities and vision internally and externally. There is extra emphasis on a young target group that is open to sustainability but has not yet made the switch to ASN Bank. This is an assignment that requires communication and writing skills, a sense of newsworthiness, organizational sensitivity and organizational talent and a good dose of creativity and enthusiasm.

A combination of working from home and working in the office is possible.

Your responsibilities

  • Daily support to the external and internal communication consultants
  • Coordinate and write articles for internal communications including the internal newsletter
  • Assist in writing communication plans and implementing them
  • Preparing news and press releases and other content
  • Help prepare speeches, presentations and online events
  • And of course you can learn all about ASN Bank and sustainable issues

  • Three pillars of policy have been defined within our long-term vision, namely human rights, climate and biodiversity. In practice, these cover all SDGs. To enable analysis of all themes, extensive sustainability criteria have been drawn up. Our Sustainability Expertise Center screens companies, governments and financing projects against these criteria. We can invest in entities that pass the screening, provided they also generate a commercial return. In addition to the social return, our clients then also receive a financial return comparable to 'ordinary' banking.
