Trainee Embedded Software Engineer

You can help us develop embedded software for the next generation of charging points with new hardware to be developed. You are comfortable with interacting directly with hardware. We have several assignments open for graduate students.

What will you do?

We develop and manage charge points for our users. We do this by developing software to control and monitor charge points and by providing facilities that give users insight into the use of the charge points. We also develop our own hardware platform, namely the charge points themselves. The assignments range from human-machine interaction, communication between microcontrollers, implementation of protocols to the Internet to automated test infrastructure.

What do we expect from you?

• You want a lot of responsibility and can handle a lot of freedom, concretely: you have self-discipline, you can motivate yourself and you continuously improve.

• You have a proactive and entrepreneurial attitude.

• You have an affinity for sustainability.

• An HBO or WO education, preferably (Technical) Computer Science, Embedded Systems, Electronics (TCK).

• Knowledge of and experience with one or more programming languages (C++, Python); operating systems(FreeRTOS,Linux); electronics is a plus; at least you are not averse to reading a hardware schematic.
