Trainee project officer wanted!

Internship Description

Project Officer

The internship for project officer is the place for you to gain experience in an organization that is working to make our city more sustainable. You will participate in the team and perform varied work, under the supervision of a project leader.

OPERATIONS

What exactly will you be doing in this internship?

We are looking for interns for three different projects: Waste to Harvest, From Amsterdam Soil and Trees for Amsterdam. Do you have a specific preference for one of the projects? Let us know!

  • Waste to Harvest
As an intern project officer Waste to Harvest work with you to make the city waste-free. With Waste to Harvest, we turn vegetable and fruit (GF) scraps, which normally disappear into the garbage bag, into compost. And we do this together with the neighborhood. Residents deliver their GF waste to a green project around the corner, such as a community garden or city farm. This is how we close cycles at the local level. We have already started in 11 locations in the city and want to expand to another 4 to 5 new locations next year.
  • From Amsterdam Bottom
From Amsterdam Bottom is the place where we can share and celebrate all the flavors of the city and its surroundings. As an intern project assistant, you will be part of the Van Amsterdamse Bodem project team and help, for example, with organizing events, coming up with project ideas, making background analyses, contributing to communication and contacting the various initiatives on the platform.
  • Trees for Amsterdam
As an intern project officer Trees for Amsterdam You will help Amsterdam residents plant trees and thus green the city. As an intern, you will help organize, communicate and evaluate the Trees for Amsterdam actions.

You will additionally help activate the neighborhood, organize events and trainings, come up with project ideas, contribute to communications. You will also help write the annual Healthy City Monitor, and work with your fellow interns in the one and only Tropical Garden.
