Are you looking for a varied internship close to the beating heart of Dutch politics? An internship in which you learn in practice how policy influence works after elections? And how to get sustainable issues into the media? Are you available from February to June 2024? Then your internship could just happen at MVO Nederland.
MVO Netherlands is the largest sustainable business network in Europe. Together with 2,000 partners, we form the movement of entrepreneurs in the new economy. Our goal? By 2025, twenty percent of our economy should be new. We measure this through the New Economy Index (NEx). Based on seven themes, this allows us to know annually how sustainable the business community is. Currently, we are at 16.5 percent. Enough to do. And the great thing is: you can contribute to a higher score next year with your internship.
MVO Nederland is a foundation so we have no profit motive. We bring entrepreneurs from our network together in events, set up innovative sustainability projects with them and lobby for better legislation. Laws and regulations are not always designed to make sustainable business easier. That is why we lobby in The Hague and Brussels. In short: we are the voice of sustainable entrepreneurs to politicians and government.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
As an intern, you will support the communications team in public affairs and public relations work. You will monitor current affairs and the political agenda and follow developments in the field of sustainable business. You will also keep an eye on debates and parliamentary proceedings, and feed relevant information back to CSR Netherlands colleagues. You analyze policy documents and summarize them. You will also, for example, contribute to opinion pieces, position papers and (social media) messages. You think and work daily in a team of 10 communication experts. .
WHO ARE YOU?
You are a master's or late bachelor's student with an affinity for politics, social developments and communications. You are proactive and independent and can write well. You are analytical and can distinguish main issues from side issues. Naturally, you think the sustainable transition is important. We know that a diverse team brings out the best in each other. We like it if you can contribute to that.
WHAT DO WE OFFER?
A varied internship in a politically turbulent time. You will learn how policy advocacy and the media really work. The internship period runs from February to June 2024.
Working at CSR Netherlands means doing something that really matters. You learn every day from enthusiastic and progressive colleagues in a nice, open working atmosphere. And we learn from you. What else is nice? That we are in Utrecht and easily accessible by public transport or within cycling distance of CS Utrecht and that there is plenty of freedom to organize your working day and place of work.
You will receive an internship stipend of gross 400 euros at 40 hours. You get a laptop on loan. If you do not have a student public transport pass, we will reimburse your travel expenses on the basis of second class public transport.
