Internship Description

We are Cross Your Borders. A creative, ambitious team with a passion for creating global

awareness among young people. We do this with our interactive citizenship projects at schools throughout the Netherlands and

with our world school tours. Create impact and join us as:


24 - 40 hours per week

What will you do?

Your internship will be diverse, alternating between supervising classes and using your scientific expertise in the organization.

Duties as a project supervisor

  • Supervising classes during interactive citizenship projects
  • Sharing knowledge with young people on issues such as climate change, unfair trade and human rights
  • Working with scholars and students of a variety of ages and levels
  • Visiting schools throughout the country
  • Collaborate with fellow interns and teachers during the implementation of educational projects

Duties as a youth travel specialist

  • Setting up new travel destinations, finding contacts and developing a travel program
  • Improve current travel programs to Ghana, Suriname, Tanzania/Kenia, Nepal, South Africa and the Philippines
  • Giving education/information evenings for the (potential) travelers and their parents
  • Accompanying travelers during the pre-trip process
  • Analyze current strategy and make recommendations
  • Possibly combine your internship with a (thesis) research project

What we ask

  • You are an HBO/WO student
  • You are available for a minimum of 3 months for 24 hours per week or more
  • You are in possession of a student week-OV card
  • You are sociable, energetic and enjoy making young people aware of global injustice
