The Dutch Renewable Energy Association (NVDE) is the association of companies that advocate for an energy supply based entirely on renewable energy. By joining forces from across the sector, the NVDE is accelerating the energy transition with vigor, inspiration and great enthusiasm. The NVDE represents thousands of member companies in the renewable energy sector.
De NVDE bestaat uit een gezellig, professioneel team van 16 mensen, waaronder vier in het communicatieteam. De communicatie- en lobbystrategie zijn sterk met elkaar verweven.
We zijn op zoek naar een enthousiaste wo- of hbo-student, met kennis op het gebied van communicatie en public affairs. Je bent bovengemiddeld geïnteresseerd in duurzaamheid. Je bent nieuwsgierig en kunt meedenken over de communicatie- en lobbystrategie en deze toepassen in de praktijk. Je schrijft graag korte, pakkende teksten, en bent liefst thuis op sociale media. Je bent een sociaal persoon, die makkelijk contacten legt, zelfstandig is en kritisch naar context kijkt. De stage is voor drie tot vijf dagen per week, gedurende twee tot zes maanden.
At NVDE, you will gain experience in a wide range of communication and lobbying tasks:
- Writing text for the newsletters
- Interviewen van Kamerleden, CEO’s, wetenschappers enz
- Contributing to the social media strategy
- Thinking along about framing, imagery and infographics
- Collaborate on joint lobbying initiatives with groups of companies
- Strengthening the website
- Help get renewable energy in the media often and positively.
- Provide media and event support
We believe it is important that, in addition to executive duties, you dare to think along at a strategic level about our lobbying and communication strategy: how do we get NVDE's views into the spotlight with politicians? How do we ensure that a motion is passed, and does this require a social media campaign, or an opinion piece in the newspaper? How do we frame this?
But also: how do we get the general public on board with the energy transition? Should we organize an event, a social media campaign or a podcast series? Once a specific strategy is chosen, you may also execute it yourself. With us, you get a lot of responsibility. The division of tasks in consultation. There is also room to do any (graduate) research.
You will receive a good internship allowance. After your internship, you will have gained valuable practical experience within a professional organization and will have expanded your network in the sustainable business community. An internship with the NVDE means making an impact. With our communication initiatives, we get a lot of media attention. Because with us you are an important part of the team, and not just a coffee shop worker, you can reach a lot of people and bring about change with your efforts. In addition, after your internship, you'll have gained hands-on experience of communications tasks across the spectrum: from devising and executing online campaigns to forging a coalition of businesses. You'll also know all about the energy transition after your internship.

Mijn naam is Ties Boonstra, ik ben 22 jaar en werk als stagiair Public Affairs en Communicatie bij de NVDE. Vanaf dag één valt me op hoe open en betrokken de werksfeer is. Collega’s nemen je serieus, staan altijd klaar om te helpen en betrekken je actief bij interessante projecten. Daardoor duik je meteen diep in alles wat met duurzame energie te maken heeft.
Wat deze stage bijzonder maakt, is de afwisseling en verantwoordelijkheid. Ik werk mee aan social media, schrijf mee aan de nieuwsbrief, houd de website bij, help bij het organiseren van evenementen en denk mee over de communicatie- en lobbystrategie. Je krijgt hier echt het vertrouwen om zelfstandig aan de slag te gaan, waardoor je al snel volledig meedraait in het team.
Tegelijkertijd zit je midden in de energietransitie. Je leert niet alleen veel in korte tijd, maar bouwt ook waardevolle connecties op binnen de wereld van duurzame energie. Zoek je een stage waarin je snel verantwoordelijkheid krijgt, veel leert en direct impact maakt? Dan zit je bij de NVDE goed.
