ABOUT JUSTDIGGIT
We believe that if we can warm up the planet, we can also cool it down. Together with farmers, pastoralists and local partners, we cool down the planet by regreening dry and degraded land in Africa.
We also believe that the powerful combination of nature, tech and positive storytelling can help shape an abundant and climate-resilient future for all people and animals. That’s why we combine indigenous and cost-effective nature-based solutions with data, communication and (mobile) technology in our projects. We want to let the world know that nature-based solutions can be key to mitigating climate change, whilst inspiring the world to dig in and join this global regreening movement. Let’s cool down the planet, together!

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Storytelling and communication is an essential part of our work. To cool down our planet, we have to regreen hearts and minds all over the world by sharing the great benefits of nature-based solutions. We use communication to scale up the impact of our African regreening projects, and we run awareness campaigns within European countries to let everyone know that tangible solutions to climate change do exist.
As our new copywriter intern, you will help make our story come alive. You will oversee our tone of voice and its consistency across all our communication channels. You will be responsible for writing newsletters, blog posts, SEO pages, social media posts, (annual) reports, and more. As such, you’ll be writing copy of all shapes and sizes. Long, short, interesting, witty, or formal – when it comes to the written word, you can turn anything into a beautiful call for a greener planet!
During the internship, you will work closely with the copywriter and the rest of the communications team. However, we are a dynamic and collaborative organisation, so you will work together with all departments such as our programs team which run our on-the-ground regreening projects in Africa.
If you would like to develop yourself by doing something else, don’t hesitate to ask us! We’re open to all your creative ideas during this internship. It is a very versatile internship and you will be given a lot of responsibility and get an important role within the team.
